Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of 4, working on overhauling the current Ad-Serving Infrastructure to move from older autoscaled VM backed services to a more efficient microservices based architecture using Kubernetes
• Previously implemented autoscaling infrastructure to handle sustained volume and huge spikes of traffic, handling more than 3 billion requests per day.
• Maintaining infrastructure reliability and optimizations for serving 40-50k RPS, with an SLO of 99 percentile response time of 10-100ms.
• Managing more than 200 servers hosting different services, while maintaining high availability of our systems.
• Building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployments of new features, as well as implementing GitOps.
• Cost optimisation for the company by de-coupling and segregating different processes within our serving infrastructure.
• Led discussions/implementation on system design and capacity planning for our services. Setup multiple different pipelines to improve observability across clusters and streamlining alerting platforms, reducing incident MTTA and MTTR significantly.
• Interacting with frontend/backend/database developers, product and QA teams to aid and implement different features.
• Rotational on-call schedules and incident response to make sure our services see minimum downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Worked on Wikipedia List Extractor.
• This project focused on developing a tool for the extraction of relevant but hidden data which lies inside lists in Wikipedia pages, form appropriate RDF triplets which follow existing DBpedia ontology and finally appending these triplets and extend the DBpedia dataset.
